Random Assortment of Russian Goodness

Disclaimer: Kels decided to be the unofficial photographer this week so unfortunately many of the following pictures contain Jord's goofy grill. Sorry. We miss Syd taking our picture for us all the time.

Real quick background. On Saturday we attended a huge outdoor exhibition. The place was huge, with tons of different pavilions and attractions. Then we went to a Russian National Dance concert. Fun stuff.

Inside one of the pavilions

Entrance to the exhibition grounds

Monument dedicated to rockets and other space gizmos

Underneath the space monument there is a little space museum. Four of us decided to go check out but when we got there we couldn't figure out if we had to pay to get in or not. Michaela speaks a little Russian and I(jord) pretend I know what's going on cuz I can read cyrillic. Neither of us could figure it out, so we awkwardly huddled in the lobby next to the entrance deciding what to do. Finally, we said we'd all just try walking in and see what happens. We counted 1-2-3 and took a fake step while Kels walked all the way through. The guards on the other side of the doorway just stared at Kels like, "Is she serious?" and said, "Ticket?"

Kels turned around to find she was buy herself and took off before they could sick the dogs on her:) The joys of not speaking the language.

Chillin with Johnny and the boys

Tons of gorgeous fountains!

I'll try to post some videos of the dance concert

Nudie mannequins

This was a sweet souvenir market we found. Tons of goodies.

Metro station. All of the metro stations here are immaculately decorated.

Fountains at Victory Park.

Kels thought it was a cool idea to take a picture with both sets of big guns ;)

Church at Victory Park

Our lovely apartment building.

At the concert they explicitly told us that pictures and/or videos were strictly prohibited, so I guess you could consider the following clips pirated dance clips. Enjoy.

Well there's a little slice of the Russian goodness we've had the last few days. Enjoy.
