A Walk Through the Woods/ Lost in the City

Another day. Another adventure.
We begin our blog today with a smorgasborg of pictures depicting our walk to school everyday. Complete with giant, colorful, flowing Jester man.

Creepy Pablo the Mustached Banana Thug

Giant smokestack that we like to pretend is a lighthouse.

Jord is so happy to be in Moscow he's glowing

Kels by the lighthouse

Over the bridge and through the woods to school we go. We get to walk through the woods to school everyday. Saweet.

This is part of the outer wall around the Kremlin in downtown Moscow. So cool.

The pic doesn't do it justice, but one of the many beautiful cathedrals in Moscow. (What a babe! Woot.)

Check out Jord's sweet comb-over! Lovin' Russia.

Huge theater right off the river. Downtown is built around this river. Everything is so gorgeous

So we decided to be adventurous and take our first trip on the metro into downtown Moscow. We swiped our passes, hopped on the right train, and successfully scowled our way into the city like legit Russians (they almost never smile). We hoped to find a restaurant near red square cuz it was 9 o'clock and we were starving but there wasn't a single restaurant within a mile of where we were. We frantically wandered around for an hour looking for something to eat and narrowly avoided running into an underground kegger.

Finally we hopped back on the metro, booked it back to the station by our house and ran to the nearest McDonald's. We got there just in time to chow down on a couple of cheeseburgers just before they cl osed at 11. I don't think two people have ever been so excited to be eating McDonald's.

We're lovin' it.
