Day in Louisville with visitors!

When Syd and Tyler were here visiting for Thanksgiving week, we made the most of it and crammed each day full of fun! One day we loaded the kids up, and headed to Louisville to hit up some of our favorite touristy spots.

First up, Big Four Walking Bridge! Luckily the day wasn't too cold, so we were able to walk on the bridge over the Ohio River, and get a great view of downtown Louisville. The boys brought their scooters, and they had a blast getting wiggles out.

As fun as the bridge is, my boys' favorite part is always the stop we make on the other side of the river in Indiana at Schimpff's Candy Store! And who am I kidding? That's my favorite part too!!

I seriously dream about the creamy red hots. SOOOO GOOD!!!

This time we got to watch them make candy for a bit, and the kids thought it was awesome. Such a darling little store with AMAZING candy.

^Watching them make candy!^

^What dreams are made of. But seriously.^

After we walked the entire bridge and back, we realized that we were STARVING. So we headed to one of our favorite Louisville eats, The Feast! This place, you guys. It's like a hip barbeque joint with variations of things that will blow your socks off.

We LOVE it.

^Syd got these loaded pork tater tots. I mean COME ON. So good.^

^He's the cutest. Even when he eats.^

^My Pulled pork taco with pickled slaw. AMAZING.^

After we ate our weight in bbq food, we headed over to Churchill Downs to see some horse races! Syd and Tyler had never been before, and it was so fun to show them one of our favorite Louisville events.

The boys are obsessed with the horse races, and love it any time we can go! It really is so fun.

^The boys felt so cool to have Tyler riding in the back with them. The poor guy didn't have a minute to himself! haha.^

^Watching the horses warm up^

^The whole group! I love how none of the kids are looking at the camera. Haha!^

^On the front row at the track! Boston's jolly little face kills me here.^

^Camden is OBSESSED with the horse races. He could stay and watch all day! It's so cute.^

^Pure joy.^

^HOLLAND. I just want to eat you up.^

Then we were all officially pooped. We hopped in the car, and within minutes Holland was asleep. The sign of a good day!!

Such a fun day with Syd and Tyler in Louisville!
We loved showing them some of our favorite spots.
If you're ever in the area...you know who to call to show you around! (But seriously, friends. Come visit! We would LOVE it!)
