Crash Boat Beach!

We have loved exploring the island of Puerto Rico during our time here...and we've especially loved the beaches!!

Before we came to PR, my friend who lives here on the island told me to explore as many beaches as we could, because they are all so unique and beautiful in their own way. I didn't quite grasp what she was saying, because the beaches we usually frequent (in Florida or Alabama) are pretty much all the same. Haha! (But beautiful, nonetheless!!)

But she was totally right--here in PR, they are all SO different! Some are rocky for exploring, some are more sandy and calm, some have big crashing waves and sand shelfs, some have shells, some have rocks, some have course sand and some have fine sand--and they're all just beautiful.

One that came at the top of recommendations was Crash Boat Beach, so we hit it up a couple of days after we got to PR! It is about a 1.5 hour drive from where we're at on the island, and we may or may not have accidentally taken a super obscure way to get there (haha), but it was worth it. So, so beautiful!
We trekked our stroller through the sand until we found the perfect spot, and then we set up camp for the afternoon! The water was perfect for snorkeling and playing in the waves, and the older three boys jumped right in. They just swam and played for hours. It was such a hot day, and the water felt AMAZING.

Monroe was still unsure of the water, so she and Brights hung out on the beach with me for a bit. I love those little buddies!
^It took them all of two seconds to make some new friends haha^
^Post-nursing beach snuggles with my girl^
^It's Boston under all of that stuff. Haha^

After a while of playing, we walked over to the old abandoned docks so the kids could jump off of them. They were nervous at first, but once they jumped in once, they immediately ran around to jump a hundred more times! They had a blast!!

It was one of my favorite parts of the whole day.
Camden was so brave and jumped off very first!

He loves a good thrill, and you know I'm always right behind him with a camera. Haha!

^Jord stayed at the bottom to catch everyone^

They jumped and jumped, and then we headed back over to our beach spot to play for a while longer until it was time to leave. Monroe started warming up to the water (a little tiny bit haha) and it was so fun to just hang out and enjoy the day together in the water.
^She's like wait, do I like this though?^
^Virgin pina colada on the beach? YES PLEASE!^
^snack monster^

We absolutely loved Crash Boat Beach!! So beautiful, and so much fun for all of us.

If you ever visit PR, it is a must.

^P.S. he is super dad^
