Happy Thanksgiving... Russia syle!

We had a great Thanksgiving here in Moscow! We celebrated it on Saturday, because we had to teach on Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun to make Thanksgiving food, and have our group over for the big dinner! It was a little interesting to improvise when I didn't have certain ingredients, but it turned out pretty yummy!

Jord got some great cooking action-shots of me. haha.

Jord brought home these flowers for me for Thanksgiving! I love that guy. :-)

Here is our group, sitting down to eat! Ardo, Michaela, Jake, Maggie, me, and Jord behind the camera.

We had a yummy dinner of rolls, bacon & cheese wrapped chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, jello, candied yams, stuffing, cooked carrots, and a veggie tray! We all ate WAY too much. :-)

Me and Jord, and Moscow out of our kitchen window!

Nobody touched the cranberry sauce. It wasn't so much of a hit haha.

Bacon & Cheese wrapped chicken! Yum!

Candied yams with marshmallows

This is what we do when we all get together... we internet!! :-)

Time for dessert... which I also ate way to much of. Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, mini cheesecakes with strawberry topping, pumpkin pie, and peanut butter cookies!

Pumpkin cookies :-)

Pie and cheesecake!

My first homemade pumpkin pie. It was surprisingly yummy! :-)

We had a great Thanksgiving here in Moscow, but definitely missed our fams at home! Good thing we get to see them in less than a month! :-)

  1. Kelsey - this looks so good! nothing like being forced to fix a Turkey dinner with no help, to see what you can do. Those rolls look so good! What recipe did you use? Great job - again it looks way more appetizing than your Chinese turkey dinner! Are these pictures taken in yours and Jords apartment kitchen? it is pretty nice!
