Halloween, 2019!

We had such a fun Halloween season!! When I was a kid, I feel like Halloween used to just be one night of trick-or-treating...but that is so not the case anymore. It's pretty much a month long string of trunk-or-treats, parties, and events leading up to Halloween--and it's kind of insane! Haha.

Not to mention the CRAZY amounts of candy the kids end up with, but hey. It's all for the fun of it, right??
We started out the festivities this year with a Halloween party at the Holland's school, and the kids had so much fun. They were so excited to wear their costumes for the first time!

Brighton ripped the puppy ear off his hat like two seconds before we got there...so he was a one-eared puppy for the night. But he was still cute!!

^Holland with his cute preschool teacher, Miss Ash! He adores her.^
^Boston and his former 'helper' teacher, Miss Petigo! How cute is her Hocus Pocus costume??^
^Bat-Cam!^
^Cutest fireman, so proud to be at his school.^
A few days later, we hit up one of our favorite Halloween events here in Elizabethtown-- a giant community trunk-or-treat at a big church!

They always go CRAZY with decorations and booths and inflatables, and the kids always get lots of candy. We've gone for a few years now, and we always have fun.
^The cutest storm trooper, batman, fireman, and Marshall puppy (from Paw Patrol) that I ever did see. Also their dad is really cute, too^
^I spy baby #5!^
There's usually a crazy long line for the trunk-or-treating here, but it moved pretty fast! (The weather was a little drizzly, so that helped with the crowd.) The kids were good sports and didn't complain about the line one bit!
^sweetest little puppy^
The next day was our church's chili dinner and trunk-or-treat! (I told you...Halloween is a marathon month!! Haha) So we got the kiddos in their costumes again, and this time, I convinced Jordan to do a couple costume with me, too!

My pregnant belly made for a perfect prop for my gumball machine, and Jordan was a quarter. Haha!
^Cuties^
^Brighton's face kills me in this!! Hahaha^
^He's a good sport. Haha^
After our chili dinner, the kids had a blast playing all of the fun games before the trunk-or-treat. We seriously have such a great ward family here. We love it!!
^feeling some 'eyeballs' and getting super grossed out! haha^
^candy-corn corn hole!^
^Cake walk!^
^He's just a little intense.^
Then it was time to go outside for the trunk-or-treat! The kids each went around at least three times until their buckets were overflowing. (As if we needed more candy!)

It worked out perfect and started to pour right as we finished up. Such a fun night!
^Brighton with his/our favorite babysitter, Jayden! We would actually die without her.^
Okay, here comes the last one, I swear...

real Halloween night!
In previous years, we have lucked out with perfect weather for trick-or-treating. We're talking 75 degrees, sunny, with people out barbecuing in their driveways while the kids go from house to house. It's AMAZING.

But this year...well it was just a tad colder. It wasn't even 30 degrees, it was SUPER windy, and it started to flurry at the end of the night!! Brrrrrrrrr!

So we bundled the kids up, and went out for like fifteen minutes until we had all frozen into Popsicles. The things we do for the memories! haha.
^We were FREEZING. haha^
^Our neighbor dressed up as the IT clown and handed out red balloons...which was super creepy, but Brighton loved. Haha^
^Bundled Cam!^
^He's the best dad.^
^Our other neighbor who dressed up like a gorilla. Holland's face kills me!^
We didn't last long at all before we ended up back at home for some hot chocolate and a movie on the basement projector. There's nothing like a little Sleepy Hollow to end a great Halloween.
^Thawing out and eating candy^
What a fun month.

Until next year, Halloween!
