Boston's NINTH birthday.

Boston turned nine years old!!

It is so crazy to me how fast those nine years flew by. In my brain, this was just yesterday:
But somehow he went from a teeny, tiny baby, to a huge nine year old! What in the actual heck. (Also, cannot get over how young Jordan and I both are in that photo. Whoa!!)

It was another weird Covid birthday, but we made the most of it for our dude. I stayed up for a million hours making him a clone trooper cake the night before, and his reaction to it the next day made everything worth it. He is the sweetest, most genuine kid, and he was so happy when he saw it.
He woke up bright and early and went golfing with Jord, and then grabbed some donuts on the way home. He looks like a teenager in these photos, and I just don't think I'm okay with it.

Why you gotta be looking so big and breaking my heart, Boston??

In the afternoon we ordered some pizzas and had a low-key water party in the backyard. It was hotter than the surface of the sun outside (Helloooo end of July heat), but the kids still busted out the water guns, jumped in the blow-up pool, and had a blast.
Then it was time for presents!
I always love watching Boston open gifts. His reactions are just the best!!

^He loved his new Lebron James jersey from mom & dad^
^This punching coordination game from Syd & Ty was so fun!!^
My favorite thing of the whole day was watching Boston open the present from his dad. Jord and Bost have gotten really into the game MLB Showdown (which stopped being made in 2005), and Jordan surprised him with new cards that he had made for him.

He made cards with two of Boston's favorite players, and a card with Boston himself. THE CUTEST.
^He was so happy!^
^He is the very best dad^

Boston requested Texas Roadhouse for dinner, so we ordered online and picked it up to bring it home. (The restaurant was still operating on limited capacity due to Covid, so we got creative!) Man, is there anything better than those rolls & cinnamon butter?? I mean seriously.

After dinner, it was time for cake!!
^Don't worry, they all got haircuts shortly after this. Haha^
^Brighton's face! haha^
And lastly, my traditional birthday note:

Dear Boston,

I can't believe you are nine!! We just love you so, so much. You are the best big brother, helper, friend, and son that we could ask for. You're smart, silly, talented, kind, loving, and such a light to everyone around you. Your energy is contagious and your personality is magnetic!

We love you to the moon, Boston boy.

Love, mom & dad
