After we left Hilton Head and dropped off Grandpa and Grandma Mac at the airport, we drove for a few hours to Chattanooga, TN!

We had never been there before (besides just passing through), and we immediately fell in love with it's lush greenery and darling downtown scene. It was so charming! We just kept commenting on how much we loved it and how we wanted to come back again to explore it more soon.

But while we were there, of course our first stop had to be the ACTUAL Chattanooga Choo-Choo! I sang this song growing up in musical theatre, and so of course I put it on repeat as we pulled into the parking lot. I sang it at the top of my lungs, and the kids thought I had legitimately lost my mind. But hey, when in Chattanooga, right!?

^Oh, how I love these little beans!^
^Handsome Cam.^
We didn't know what to expect with the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, but it was seriously the cutest place ever. The grand hotel was ornate and beautiful, and the grounds were immaculate. It was super family-friendly with giant board games, hedge mazes for the kids, and gorgeous ponds alongside the train. The kids had a blast running around and exploring!

^The Chattanooga Choo-choo!^
^Camden did actually get lost in this. Apparently it was a good maze! haha)
^"Mom! Dad! Look at all the fishies!"^
^Giant Jenga!^
^Giant checkers!^
^Giant chess! I love Cam's tongue out in this one. The things were heavy! Haha.^
^Love this Boston boy.^
^The rocking chairs. Seriously, I love The South.^
The kids climbed into the train and explored, and thought it was so awesome! Then we escaped the crazy heat and darted into the incredible Hotel Chattanooga for some water and air conditioning. Because AC in the summertime in The South is pretty much HEAVEN.

^peek-a-boo!^
^The gorgeous lobby^
^The ceiling. So immaculate!^

After we ran around the hotel grounds a bit, we realized we were starving. So we hopped back in the car and headed a few minutes downtown for some dinner, and ended up at Community Pie! It was SO GOOD. (Thank you, Yelp! You are my best buddy.) Seriously though, best margarita pizza of my life!

^This hunk of burning love, guys. I can't get enough.^
^My pizza. COME TO MAMA.^
After dinner, we explored downtown a bit. The kids loved being out of the car, and had a blast throwing rocks at the dirt and climbing every possible thing in sight. #lifewithboys

It was such a gorgeous night!
^Those chubby crossed feet. Swoon.^
Then we headed over to our hotel to settle down for the night before we hit the road back to Louisville the next morning. But of course, the boys had to test out their superhero flying powers on the beds before they could go to sleep.

Perks of hotel life!
^"One, two, FREE!!"^

Oh man, guys. We had such a fun trip. Road trips are just the best and it was so fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Mac with us this time.

Thanks for sticking with me on these crazy-late blog posts. Here's a cookie!
